  • Evaluated the existing application on ten heuristic principles laid by Neilson and Norman group.
  • Prepared a report with all the issues found and their respective recommendations.

  • Studied the competitors to gain insights into their applications, features and the process
  • Prepared a detailed report of the analysis comparing 5 top competitors in the market on the basis of various parameters like process, design, usability etc.
  • This helped us to identify potential opportunities to work on in out product and to understand where our product stands in terms of industry trends

Data Synthesis – Discover

  • Transcribed the interview recordings and found out the meaningful data for sense making
  • Used Thematic coding to identify the text and passages that belong too the same category or theme into four categories : Observations, Design Ideas, User Statement and Insights

User ’s needs Formulation – Discover

  • Formulated the requirements based on the results from the coding and again categorised them according to MoSCoW.

User Persona – Discover

  • Created user personas based on the two sets of users involved in the user interviews.
  • Collected their demographic details analyzed their responsibilities along with goals and the problems they face in achieving their objective through the existing application

User Journey Map – Discover

  • Considering the user personas taken into account, drafted the user journey that the users would take to accomplish the major goal of issuing a policy
  • Journey Map helped us to understand different phases of the journey, touch-points in the journey, user ’s pain-points and also helped to identify opportunities

Task Flow – Design

  • Understood the business logics and with the help of the requirements document, designed a solution which was simple and also identified the screens and action

Paper Prototype – Design

  • Created paper prototypes that helped us to present our initial idea and approach to the customer and also have given a food for thought to the stakeholders to provide their feedbacks.
  • Creating paper prototypes helped us to make the changes easily and instantly as per the feedback received from all the stakeholders.

Wireframes– Design

  • Created static grey scale prototypes based on the ideas generated during paper prototypes and white-boarding
  • Converted the static wireframes into interactive prototype for all the flows in the application
  • This prototype consisted of by-flows created using dynamic panels, variables etc.
  • Also created several re-usable widgets as masters like Calendar control for date, month and year selection, date and time, login screens along with the validations

Visual Design

  • Created multiple options for visuals of the prototype created by using different types of illustrations, design language.
  • Considering the branding guidelines provided and the selected option, visual designs for the unique screens was delivered.
  • Created RWD designs along with visual guide to help the developers and maintain consistency in the future designs
